Our story

In January 2018, a 17-year-old student left home with a dream: to become a lawyer.

The journey that followed brought new opportunities, challenges, lessons, and encounters with people whose guidance made a lasting difference.

Along the way, one realization became impossible to ignore:

Many of the barriers young people face are not caused by a lack of talent.

They are caused by a lack of access to information, mentorship, networks, and opportunities.

The right conversation can change a life.

The right mentor can change a trajectory.

The right opportunity can change a future.

IMD was born from the belief that no young person should have to navigate their journey alone.

What we do
